Robert trained at Rose Bruford College and Stephen F. Austin University, Texas.
Robert has appeared in ‘China Dolls’ (Edinburgh Fringe), ‘The Gaydar Diaries’ (Oval House), ‘God Explodes Laughing’ (Blue Elephant Theatre), ‘The Case of Baron Baritone and his Menacing Music Vac’ (Hat Factory, Luton), ‘The Last Maharaja’ (Hoxton Hall), ‘Head’ (Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford) ‘The Way of the World’ (Baron's Court Theatre) and two seasons as the Prince and Nurse in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in Covent Garden. On screen he has appeared in ‘Panto People’, ‘Thirty’, ‘I am a Great Man’, ‘Knock! Knock!’ and ‘Nunjas’.
Robert has toured the UK many times in a wide variety of productions. He spent two years playing Bungle in ‘Rainbow Live!’ at theatres up and down the country, followed by a season with children’s TV superstars Charlie and Lola in their ‘Best Bestest Play’. He created the roles of the Old Woman in ‘There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly’ and Detective Emmerside in ‘Soap Opera’ where he worked with stars from ‘EastEnders’, ‘Brookside’ and ‘Red Dwarf’. Other UK tours include: ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘The History of Olympia’, ‘The Road Race’ and ‘Arson About’; as well as touring Italy in ‘Circus’.
Robert is a popular Dame with pantomime credits including: ‘Cinderella’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Dick Whittington’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and ‘Mother Goose’; at theatres in Middlesbrough, Stockport, Newark, Maidstone, Gravesend and Sevenoaks. He has worked with a wide range of top panto performers including: Lisa Riley, Shane Lynch and Leslie Grantham amongst others.
Robert is also in demand for summer panto having spent several seasons as Dame aboard the MV Bretagne for Brittany Ferries and a season for Haven Holidays playing Cruella in ‘Cinders – the New Musical’.
